Welcome to the Cannon Square Project Page of the SVIA.  On the links above, you can learn more about this important project and how you might be able to support this effort.  Click on PROJECT STATUS above for the latest update.

Working closely with Borough officials and the Stonington Historical Society, our mission is to:
Restore this place of honor to its original, stately condition...with emphasis on historical integrity, ease of access and beauty.
A Rendering by Cummin Associates - Prepared August 2008
(Approved by Board of Warden & Burgesses on Oct. 20)
The above rendering features four Hybrid Princeton Elms at about six years after the restoration project is complete.  At maturity, they will provide a high canopy with no interference with view lanes from surrounding homes.  The new plan also features a more open square in keeping with the history of this important place.  The ground will be more level, there will be no fence and it will be accessible from all four sides.

To contribute to this project, make your check payable to SVIA and mail to Cannon Square Restoration Fund, Stonington Village Improvement Association, PO Box 18, Stonington, CT 06378
